The Community Essentials team at Northumberland County Council's main service provision are Catering, Caretaking, Cleaning, Grounds maintenance, Street cleaners, Parking Attendants, Road Sweepers, School Crossing Patrols, Building Maintenance and Building Design.
The Facilities Management Division is unique in that it provides a one stop shop for both hard and soft Facilities Management services, with 2300 employees. It has a dedicated help desk facility, Partnership Managers committed to regions of the County and technical support team to provide linkages between services.
Employing nearly 2300 people from Berwick in the North to Haltwhistle in the West and other areas such as Cramlington, Ashington, Morpeth and Blyth to name a few.
The division prides itself on consistently delivering high quality services to its customers throughout Northumberland and it’s because of the people who work with us that are able to do this. All of our staff members receive a comprehensive induction, health and safety and working methods training prior to commencing work with us. In addition to this we offer a range of further skills training leading to NVQ’s to level 2 and beyond.
